Collectable Dice Games[chuckpint, rouven gehm, Lester Smith, randomfandom, dicemania, trolltq] Dragon Dice (TSR) was one of the first collectable dice game, that set off a (small) range of other collectable dice games. Just like collectable trading cards, you start off buying a starter set, with a fixed number of dices, but randomly inserted (usually containing commons, uncommons & rares). As for all collectable games, each player needs his own set of dices. Although you have 'zones of play', you usually don't need much more than the dices. In addition you can buy (blind) booster packs. Besides "dragon dice", a (small) number of collectable dice games were released. As a matter of facts, Lester Smith who first designed dragon dice released a second collectable dice game called "chaos progenitus". Below find a limited number of collectable dice games that I am aware off:

Each player builds a fiend out of various dice representing items and body parts. Then those fiends do battle in a contest of deadly combat.
In addition, ivory colored dice (stone) were released (promotional) in different countries. All share one specific power, based upon their ivory color and particular color of ink (colors: yellow, blue, red, gray, green, orange, brown, black).
Each basic pack appears to have 4 Fire fiend dice, 4 Frost, 3 Death, 1 Blood and 1 Lash. The booster box has 3 Fester, 2 Rot and 1 Stench, plus 2 basic breeds.

Collectible Dice Game. This game comes with a game board.
In
the game, the players take the role of captains of starships in the futuristic
universe of the 24th century. Each player commands one ship. The starships in
the game are drawn from those depicted in the television series STAR TREK: The
Next Generation, and STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT, the motion picture. The objective
of the game is to engage the opposing ships in battle, outfight them, and
ultimately destroy them.
During the game, the players allocate available power from the Engineering system to activate and use various ship systems. These systems include weapons, damage repair, sensors, shield reinforcement, and special options. As ships take damage, their abilities become reduced, until they become so damaged that the ship suffers a warp core breach and is destroyed and removed from play. The last player in the game is the winner.
This game is currently DEAD. You can buy starters / boosters / expensions from Ebay or private persons.

'throwing
stones' is not a game on itself, it's more a D&D variant to fast-create
characters. But hey, they are (were) collectable. Games comes with commons ($2),
uncommons ($4) and rares ($8) As the company disolved, a new company (prism-games)
will re-release the game in non-collectable form later, including a
miniature (see picture). This game will be called 'fantasy stones'.
This game is currently DEAD. You can buy starters / boosters / expensions from Ebay or private persons. Game is about to be revived.
